Meet Rebecca

Trust Your Body was founded on the belief that the human body was intentionally designed with remarkable intelligence & the capacity for healing. Rebecca’s work over the last 8 years has been guided by a desire to steward that design with care, compassion, and excellence.

Her approach is rooted in values of: RESTORATION, WISDOM, INTEGRITY, EDUCATION, STEWARDSHIP, & EXCELLENCE.

These principles shape how every client is treated.

With a background in biology and extensive training in fascia, neurology, and movement therapy, she has helped hundreds of clients

regain mobility and move out of pain.

Rebecca’s philosophy is simple:

Your body communicates.
When you learn to listen, healing becomes possible.

the TRUST YOUR BODY experience

IDENTIFY

Each session begins with a comprehensive assessment to identify movement patterns, fascial restrictions, and the root cause of tension or pain. From there, we create a personalized treatment plan designed to restore mobility, reduce discomfort, and support long-term results.

RELEASE

Treatment is a collaborative process where practitioner and client work together to identify, release, and respond to areas of fascial restriction and tension. Through hands-on bodywork and guided feedback tissue glide is restored and chronic tension is reduced. Each session is adapted to how your body responds, empowering you to stay engaged in your own progress and results.

RESTORE

At the conclusion of each session your practitioner reviews guided movement and body awareness to help the body return to the way it was designed to function. This helps to maintain & continue progress made on the table, allowing you to carry it into your everyday life.

FAQ's

Please reach us at fasciadancer@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Sessions begin with a detailed medical history followed by an overview of the clients' day to day life, sleeping & eating patterns, & stress management.

Then the client will go through a series of assessments including walking, static & dynamic postures & muscle testing.

Once the practitioner has gathered all information needed the session begins.

We start with aromatherapy & breathing, then fascial work.

Finally the client is given homework to maintain their new tensional & energetic distribution.

Your very first visit will be 90 minutes. We’re getting to know your body, and that means exploration and discovery of any underlying issues involving your pain.

We move very slowly and intentionally to meet your body where it is at to get you the best results possible.

After your initial visit sessions are offered in 60 & 90 minute durations.

Always trust your gut…if you want more time because you know you need it, listen to your body and book the longer session, you deserve it!

Pretty much anyone!

Sessions are catered to each client's individual needs. There is no cookie cutter protocol that is applied for every client because everyone has a different body with different experiences.

HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE!

Hydrated tissue is more pliable than dehydrated tissue.

Male: Fitted Athletic Shirt, Shorts/Fitted Pants/Athletic leggings

Female: Leggings, Fitted Athletic Shirt, Sports Bra

DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

Clients are assigned homework to maintain the new tensional & energetic distribution in their body via a combination of stretching & strengthening exercises.

Sessions are meant to be a reset but the reset must be maintained by the client.

It depends on what brings you in for treatment and  your personal goals.

Is your pain keeping you from training and you want to get back ASAP? You’ll want short but frequent sessions (45-60 minutes/2x weekly) where we’ll test and retest how your body is reacting along the way and adjust our approach if we are not achieving significant improvement at the end of each visit.

Is your pain acute or chronic? Acute pain can be mild and last for just a short duration, or it can be severe and last for weeks. Chronic pain is ongoing and  lasts longer than 3 months. If you’re suffering from chronic pain, consistency is key, so you’ll want to book longer sessions perhaps weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Bodywork has a cumulative effect. It’s tough to undo months or years of pain with only one session, but even at your first visit, most people experience noticeable improvement that continues to progress as we work together.

In mild cases patients report significant improvement in 1-2 sessions.

In moderate cases patients report significant improvement in 2-4 sessions.

In severe cases patients report significant improvement in 4-8 sessions.

Intention is always first & foremost when performing highly targeted  therapy. We focus our intention & efforts on the fascia. While we do consider the influence of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and veins, your connective tissue is the key. Fascia has 10x more nerve endings than muscle. Historically it has been overlooked yet it is often the culprit for pain. Be prepared to move and assist with your treatment. Because healing requires a collaborative effort we also assign at-home instruction and injury education.

There may be times when the fascia demands some further attention. When the tissue is unresponsive to traditional techniques we may incorporate these tools as needed:

  • Cupping: Suction removes the air from the cup, lifting the tissue and increasing blood flow to the area. Studies suggest that cupping works similarly to what we do as practitioners by helping improve how tissue glides past each other in concentrated areas where tissue is more resistant.
  • Gua Sha: Dating back to the Ming Dynasty in China between 1368 and 1644. A stone tool is used to gently scrape the superficial layers of tissue. This is a popular treatment for myofascial adhesions like scar tissue. The many layers of our connective tissue can stick together like glue from injury, chronic stress or lack of movement.  When this occurs instead of tissue gliding past each other and moving individually they instead begin to move together, creating a biomechanical malfunction. Gua Sha can help loosen & lubricate the layers of tissue, thereby allowing more movement, improving circulation, relieving muscle tension, & accelerate the injury recovery process.
  • RockFloss: RockFloss is a thin, elastic band wrapped around an affected area that allows for “fascial shearing.” This can be used to mobilize stuck tissue or improve breathing mechanics.
  • Kinesiology Tape: Otherwise known as KT tape, used for decreasing bruises/edema/ swelling, improving body awareness, and decompresses fascial layers to decrease pain.
  • Corrective Exercise: Humans are creatures of habit, and all habits are not good habits. Especially poor postural habits where we tend to "live" in particular postures because that is what the body has become accustom to. Corrective Exercise is person to person individualized programming made to improve postural strength & stability.
  • Visceral Manipulation: The function of the body does not just rely on our muscles, your organs need just as much attention! Dysfunction of any of our organs can lead to a tremendous deficit on the body including present pain. Visceral Manipulation involves reseting the organs to improve functionality, fascial glide & circulation.
  • Vibrational Sound Therapy: Sound therapy dates back to the 5th century. Sonic waves & vibrations from various instruments (bowls, tuning forks, drums, chimes) penetrate & reset cellular vibrations while promoting new patterns, calming inflammation, relieving pain, relaxing nerve plexus, muscles/tissue, promotes blood & lymph circulations,  as well as impacting hormone regulation. As a result the parasympathetic (rest & digest) response is triggered, suppressed emotions are released, restore natural body rhythms, bring brain waves in alpha & theta states while transforming the subconscious opening space for intention setting.

Many fall asleep.

Treatments are never meant to cause any pain or discomfort. We meet your. body where it is at, respect it's boundaries and work with it, not against it. Going against the flow can ultimately be counterproductive to our work. The ideology of “no pain, no gain” is a thing of the past. Instead it's all about "making gains, without pain". We’ll teach you tools to heighten your body awareness and enhance the communication between you & your body. In time teaching you how to listen to your body and know when something is working, when it’s not, and have tools available to implement to bring you back on track. Communication about what you are experiencing is crucial and used as a guide to creating your definition of success.
